Microsquirt is an entry-level ECU designed to control a wide array of applications. In this application, it's designed to control a Ford 2.3 turbo, supercharged, or naturally aspirated engine with TFI distributor in any chassis. This ECU is for budget minded individuals who need a new harness and are willing to sacrifice the full feature set of the PiMPx/PiMPxs for a more bare bones Microsquirt tuning experience that doesn't offer as many features and options but allows full tuning control of your engine. The external 3 bar MAP sensor can support up to 29psi of boost. Plug and play harness is included. Harness is set up for stock TFI distributor ignition, Ford sensors, and supplied IAT & MAP sensor. Requires high impedance injectors (available as an option in this listing). Stock 2.3 turbo injectors are low impedance so factor that into your budget and also when comparing its price to our PiMPx system that can use stock injectors.
When one of our wideband controllers is purchased with ECU, we can terminate the wideband wiring so it plugs directly into the harness when option is selected. Otherwise you need to have a Weatherpack crimping tool to terminate it yourself, or purchase the wideband pigtail so you can connect the wires with solder & shrink wrap, or generic crimp connectors.
If you're shopping this product against the PiMPx, note that the Microsquirt is not cheaper UNLESS you don't have a usable stock 2.3 harness to use with the PiMPx. Reason for this is the PiMPx allows the use of stock low impedance injectors (saves $215 in new injectors, unless you plan to buy larger injectors either way), doesn't require a serial to USB adapter (saves $20) and it comes with the license and premium support built into the price of the ECU (saves $130). So keep that in mind when comparing the two options rather than assuming this product is cheaper simply because the base price is lower.
ECU is 4.7"x3.1"x1.67" and is relatively easy to make waterproof.

Additional Microsquirt PNP Options
-Wideband Direct Connect Modification -When purchasing the Microsquirt PNP above, along with a Spartan or AEM wideband controller, we can modify the wideband's wiring so it will connect directly to the Microsquirt harness by simply plugging in a connector. This is only available when purchasing the Mircrosquirt PNP and wideband at the same time.
-Wideband Connector Pigtail - For those who are going to use a wideband from a different company and don't have a Weatherpack style crimping tool to terminate the wideband wires with pins, or are buying the Microsquirt & wideband at different times, this is the mating connector for the harness' wideband connection with wires already terminated and ready to connect to your wideband controller wires with solder & heat shrink, or standard crimp connectors.
Communication Method: The Microsquirt harness uses a 2.5mm port by default. The communication method allows you to select what sort of cable you want to use to plug into this 2.5mm port. You've got the option of converting directly to USB (USB to 2.5mm), to USB via a serial to USB adapter (the 9-pin serial cable + a USB adapter cable), or using a 9-pin serial cable (Serial DB9 to 2.5mm).
