This is our mid-level manual boost controller kit. Simple to use manual boost controller aka boost valve. Increases torque even at stock boost level by creating faster boost response so the turbo reaches max boost at a lower rpm.

The innovative design of the valve incorporates some great new features not currently available on any other manual boost controller. Each controller is constructed out of billet aluminum and stainless steel components, and features a boost dial that is easy to adjust yet will not slip. This boost valve is designed to not require the use of a lock nut or any type or Allen wrench to adjust your boost. Simply turn the adjustment knob and it stays where you set it. Another great feature is the fact that the adjustment knob cannot be lost or come out of the valve, unlike other boost valve designs. Simply put, there is not a potential for unexpected overboosting since the adjustment knob cannot vibrate loose and come out. Incorporated into the design is a stainless steel ball that contributes to fine and consistent boost pressure adjustments.

Also included with the boost controller are two additional pressure springs that can be changed for different requirements; a light and heavy duty spring. The light spring is ideal for lower boost requirements and when fine control of boost pressure levels is required. The heavy-duty spring is ideal for high boost pressure requirements. A medium pressure spring is pre-installed as it offers a nice balance between precision adjustment and a wide range of boost pressure. 

Simply install between your boost pressure source and your wastegate/wastegate actuator. The side port goes to the gate/actuator and the bottom port goes to the compressor outlet or other boost source. Then simply dial in your boost pressure by turning the adjustment knob (screwing knob in increases boost, screwing cap out lowers boost). Adjustable up to approximately 20-40psi with the supplied springs. Installing a stiffer spring will increase the max boost available but also limits how low you can go (minimum boost).

Warning: Increasing boost can be dangerous for your engine. Be sure you have sufficient supporting mods, fuel flow, etc. to support the higher boost pressure or engine damage will occur. We are not responsible for damages.

Hose Fitment:
6mm ID hose fits tight but certainly needs clamped on to prevent it from popping off in high boost applications. 4mm ID hose is tight/stretches over and would not need a clamp but it takes some work to get it on the barb fittings. So measure the port you plan to connect it to on the vacuum tree or turbo outlet and measure ports you may also connect to the same hose (like a boost controller) to determine which size you'd rather use so you don't have to adapt to different sizes. 

Installation:
Bottom port (opposite of adjuster knob) connects to a boost source (nipple on outlet port of turbo, or directly to vacuum tree). Side port goes to wastegate actuator (for external wastegate, use port closest to where the wastegate bolts to the header and leave the port on the end of the wastegate open to atmosphere, not capped).

Ideally the controller is mounted near the wastegate for best response time but away from vibration, while also being easy to access when the turbo is hot. We typically mount them to the inner fender/strut tower near the turbo. 

Spring Replacement:
To install a different spring, remove bottom port and remove ball, then screw in adjuster knob to push spring out far enough to pull it out. Reverse these steps to install new spring.
