Torque Capacity is rated at the flywheel, not at the wheels. If you hope to make 500 lb/ft of torque at the wheels for example, remember to add 15% for a manual trans and 20% for an auto trans to get you in the ballpark of your flywheel torque. If you want prioritize superior street manners relative to the holding power, the 2+ and 3+ are the way to go.

Billet Aluminum Pressure Plate - Substantially reduces rotating mass, increases power and throttle response, adds infinite rebuildability. Stock appearing aluminum pressure plates allow for quicker revs, more horsepower and increased engine reliability. These pressure plates are a great addition to SPEC lightweight flywheels or factory flywheels, and can be used with a variety of friction discs.  
Low Pedal Requirement - Substantially reduces pedal pressure requirement to near stock while still offering the same high clamp load as the standard high clamp units. **Requires adjustable cable or quadrant to set release**

Input Shaft Spline - Stock transmissions for these applications use a 10 spline input shaft. 26 spline hub option is available for those using an upgraded 26 spline input shaft, or race built T4/T45 or TKO, GForce, T56, Hewland, Xtrac, Richmond or any transmission with a 26 x 1 1/8 GM style input shaft.

Stage 1

Features an integrally molded carbon kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Best for daily drivers and street as it offers a stock type feel with more holding power. Can handle concessional track/off-road use as long as power output is below rated max.

Stage 2
Types of Driving:
Street, Drag, Pulling, Autocross
Features segmented or full faced pure Kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. If you are planning on a low boost forced induction setup or already have one in yourvehicle, it will only take a few launches before you'll roast your stock clutch. Or maybe you're just tired of the slow shifts, and have decided it's time for a better one. A SPEC Stage 2 Clutch will handle significantly more torque than stock without the "on-off" feel of true race clutches, blending driveability and the ability to hold lots of power perfectly. Perfect for Weekend Warriors. The SPEC Stage 2 Clutches are designed for all mild to moderately modified naturally aspirated and power added engines, but can be used with stock power levels without sacrificing driveability or excessive wear characteristics. They are the perfect balance of driveability and durability that makes them a great choice for Mustangs that see a lot of time on the street as well as the strip and track.Best for street, drag, pulling and autocross.

Stage 2+
Types of Driving:

Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon graphite on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the 2+ offers durability, drivability, and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity that's similar to the stage 3. So it's more street friendly than the stage 3 while also lasting longer in street use, but with a bit less holding power. Its twin spring high-torque hub is designed to minimize vibrations, for lesser wear along with heat treated components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, autocross, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 3

The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Also available in 3 puck configuration. Great for street, drag, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

Highly modified high boost applications that still want the best street manners possible are a great match to this clutch. Great for street, drag, drift, autocross, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 4

This unit is a solid hub version of the stage 3. The hub is solid 8-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. It is available in a 3, 4 or 6 puck configuration depending on the application. Specially designed as an ideal solution for racing applications. It features a solid hub to provide excellent strength and durability while the 6-puck configuration ensures the smoothest engagement. However, as a racing clutch, this is not street-friendly due to its extreme rigidity. Street drivable in 6 puck configuration, but not street friendly due to the rigid hub. This is as close as you can get to a full race clutch while still having some semblance of street ability. Best for drag racing, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 5
Types of Driving:

Extreme Street, Drag
Features a full-metallic disc with the highest possible friction co-efficient. Street drivable if you're hardcore but not street-friendly. Designed for maximum holding power first and foremost. Street type driving that requires slipping the clutch will wear out the disc, flywheel, and pressure plate more quickly than any of the other stages above. It is made to grab to it doesn't like to be slipped. The hub is solid 12-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. Best for extreme street and drag racing.
