You get everything you need for your engine to run like factory. Based on the Telorvek panel, the system allows you to install the computer just about anywhere in the vehicle.
Here's how it works: The sensor connectors are factory installed to 20 foot lengths of wire. Once you plug the connector into the sensor, run the wires back to the Telorvek panel. The Telorvek panel has factory installed connectors to then plug into the factory computer.
What this offers you: Installer chooses the location of components. Wires can be dressed for a neat, professional look. Simplified diagnostic troubleshooting.
This kit is for the 1996-1998 Mustang Cobra only. Beginning with the 1996 Mustang and 1997 passenger cars, Ford began installing Passive Anti-Theft Systems (PATS) in their ECMs. Short of installing all the components and sensors from the donor vehicle, the only way to defeat PATS is by reflashing the ECM to completely remove it. We can perform this for you. During the reflashing process, we can set up your ECM for aftermarket fuel pumps, electric fans, reduce fan switch on temperatures and disable certain emission sensors if your local smog laws permit. These early 4.6's had a coil pack for each bank of cylinders but with the 1997 passenger cars and the 1999 Mustang, Ford went to coil on plug (COP). Manual transmissions are used behind this engine. Other non-computer controlled transmissions can be used as well.
Harnesses are drop shipped by Ron Francis via UPS ground service and most of them are made to order (not stocked) so immediate shipment is not expected.
