During the reflashing process, we can set up your ECM for aftermarket fuel pumps, electric fans, reduce fan switch on temperatures, and disable certain emission related sensors if your local smog laws permit it for your swap application. When this is required, the harness listing will mention the requirement in the description.

This process is accomplished through hardware level ECM reprogramming. This reprogramming cannot be accomplished with a typical flash programmer like our SCT products, it requires special hardware and knowledge to accomplish it. With that said, this process does not effect your ability to use our SCT flash products for engine calibration changes.

Ford installs Passive Anti-Theft Systems (PATS) in their modern ECMs. When swapping to another application, this requires installing all the components and sensors from the donor vehicle to satisfy the anti-theft system (which is what's required for 2011+ applications).

This service covers Fords 2011-2017 and is limited to Coyote Mustangs/F150's and 3.5 Ecoboost F150's. PATS cannot be removed from 2011 and newer ECM's regardless of application.

If you want to use a manual transmission or an external trans controller then you need to start with a manual transmission ECM. Auto trans functionality cannot be removed to allow an auto ECM to work with a manual transmission. Some engines (like certain EcoBoost engines) aren't available from the factory with a manual transmission in any application so keep that in mind when selecting an engine to use for your swap.

You'll have to send in your ECM to have this process completed. After purchase, we'll email you with the required shipment information.

Information about the checkout process:

In the "Year | Make | Model" option box, enter this information for the application the drivetrain came from.

In the Additional Details box, include details about what vehicle the drivetrain is being swapped into, if it's a swap application. Also include any emissions functions in the list you want to retain, if you don't want to retain all, or remove all. Also include transmission information and any other info/comments/questions you may have.
